Now, I know a lot of people are going to jump down my throat about this, and tell me to gtfo, and you guys can take a hike. I'm offering this up as a suggestion, because there are ways (and widely known ways) to download a hacked version of Steam with EVERY game pre-loaded. I'm not going to divulge any information here regarding how you do it. If a staff member would like to contact me via PM, I will be more than happy to show them how it's done. This hack does work with VAC servers, so don't assume that it will only work on hacked servers.

So, what you are actually saying is that steam accounts shouldnt allowed to be sold, because people can also use an illegal version of steam so they don't have to pay? Seems rather illegal to me.

We have cracked down on people selling illegal versions of Steam when seen...for example ; Gac.

However, clamping down on everyone who wishes to sell Steam Accounts just because there happens to be illegal ways to do it is a tad harsh. There's illegal ways to do everything, Adobe don't stop selling Photoshop because you can download a cracked version, just something you've got to accept.

Oh, I completely agree with the whole Photoshop thing, however, you are talking about a forum. There are a lot of kids on here who will do anything for a quick buck. GR doesn't allow people to sell PS on here because I'm sure they know of all the hacked versions that are flosting around. And with this new Steam issue being released, soon it will be rampant. As I was telling .Untitled (*cough* Excuse me... Leet)... I'm just trying to stop it before it starts. People will find out about this, and quick...

Oh, and I failed to mention that there is NO WAY to tell if the account is hacked using this method. I can load up HL/CSS accounts all day long and noone would be the wiser.

Yes, we know, we also know that selling steam accounts in the first place is against the law, as is rapidshare accounts, as is even selling signatures for online currency which has a money value. This is why Gamerenders holds no responsibility for deals of this sort. You bid on your own accord, and if the account is messed up, oh well, your problem, not ours.

I remember that for a while you were not allowed to sell steam accounts because the staff had enough trouble dealing with scams and what not. Then it was changed to you could sell them but at your own risk as gamerenders would not help to mediate any problems. No one is making you buy or sell accounts so if you don't want to get scammed just shovel out the $20 and buy the game on steam.

Not saying I got scammed, just trying to prevent others from getting scammed is all...

Well, it's buyer beware for steam accounts, everybody knows that, and it is very well stated in the rules. If you purchase a steam account and there are problems with it, it is completely your problem. Just purchase it from a member that is very well known, and you should be fine, or avoid purchasing one from this site all together!
(And note that this comment is coming from a guy who has lost over 9,000 credits in steam accounts. Yes, I know, it's quite a bit. I don't purchase them anymore lol.)
