As long as you're a good member, make useful topics, help other members, and learn and grow as a designer... you'll be fine.
I would go for asian cuisine anytime. And just throw away your ego into the wastepaper basket and you'll be fine. You're more likely to get "accepted" if you're humble.

The forum was never like this at one point *sigh* its become more of a popularity contest on here rather than a community..
you obviously need to have a lot of credits and make decent work, all that "be nice and be a good member" mumbo jumbo isn't it, trust me
In all honesty, post counts with general helping of members, giving out resources, etc. is a great way to become welcomed here on the site by the members. Another easy way is to join the GR IRC, which generally has all the active GR members in there all the time chatting. Beware, some adult conversations are stated in there, and there is lots of sarcasm, and I will pick on you for atleast the first day your in there, likely ban you if I don't like you... yeah, but I am not one sided at all. lol
