Man, this is annoying, I've been trying at it for awhile now but I'm stuck in the same place.
Okay, I'm trying to set up Wireless to my laptop, I've got a Motorola SB5100 SURFboard Cable modem and a D-Link Wireless N Router
    (Connected through Virgin Media)

The set up is like this

    Modem > Router (Ethernet)
    Router > PC (Ethernet)
Modem > PC (USB Theres only room for one Ethernet cable in the modem)

Once i set it up like this (As it says on the CD) I lose my connection and the setup CD for the router gets stuck at trying to connect.

    I think its because.
The modem uses the Ethernet port to connect my PC to the net usually; I've tryed reinstalling it with the USB but each time it wont let me and says I need to use the Ethernet, on my older computer that didn't happen, strange (That one had no Ethernet port, is there anyway to make it stop asking me to plug it in to it, and force it to use usb)
