my friend just gave me his razor slvr phone, but it's a cingular phone and i have tmobile, is there anyway i could use tmobile on it?
can i just switch the sim cards?

You'd have to unlock the phone first.

my friend has already used his phone with cingular for awhile

 

go find a shop that can unlock gsm phones, i dont think there are any online unlockers besides for SE phones

 

Its perfectly legal in the US to unlock a phone now. I would suggest googling for an unlocker.

 

Call cingular, tell them to tell you the unlock code.. thats what i did a couple times
