I haven't been on GR in a while, but I didn't see any threads on first page about Beckham... What do you guys think? I love MLS, and I have been watching the LA games, and he has helped the team in MANY ways... Watch out MLS, LA is gonna move up.
I'm an Englishman, and I still think that Beckham is overrated. Still, his popularity will help Galaxy no end, but I dont see him bieng a saviour to the team.
well he is a tad over rated since ive seen him so many times as i live in UK but beckhams freekick/spotkick are like the best in the world I saw the freekick for LA Galaxy the other day .. amazing - Some people says hes ---- but his celebrity life took over him quite a bit during his football career - Hes been cool ... well a 1man army has been a saviour for a team but beckham will provide plenty of chances though with his long ball passes that are dam accurate

im kind of tired of the vick thing. i watch everything. like last night, i watched some of the us open (tennis), some college football games, and the FIBA game with USA v Argentina.
They Need to Stop Showing us Stuff That PPL Really Don't Care About. Like, Nobody Cares About Vick Besides His Family N PPL From ATL
Becks is a great player, hes not as good as what he used to be when he was at Man Utd until he got his injury thats been pestering him ever since and also his back problem. Ive been watching some MLS on tv on saturday mornings and he is helping them when he plays, but now hes injured again...
overpayed. for sure. but he does have his moments when he is really good. long passes, crosses, free kicks. then there are times when he's really bad. always a wild card.
Heh, hes inconsistent, though most players aren't gonna play their best every game. Plus, because hes famous for his free-kicks hes expected to pretty much score every time, or at least hit the target. Though i think hes a good player... However what player thats English and in the national team isnt over payed? I support Spurs and we signed Darren Bent this season for £16m... Worth it? I bloody hope so... Though i have my doubts
Beckham is a great player, but he is overrated and over payed imo. For the Galaxy he's helping out tremendously not only in the matches but in ticket sales too. Like my uncle said when the season started and he wasn't playing much, "If he was really so good they'd have him out there. He can't be so great if he sits on the bench so long."
