ohh shut the ------ up, the only reason i'm not saying everything i want is because I potentially stand to get in trouble if I'm too much of an ------ to a large group of people... People piss me off at times. people with their superiority complexes... if you feel proud for this or that you better damn well be the leaders in such an ordeal and not part of a group which sits and does little besides bitching. Not that peopel do things asside form bitching. Doesn't matter who you are or where you go there is always some ass bitching about something without doing anything about it.

That made me lol so hard :).

Anyways Aedus about that comment where the British actually shot at the Americans on the ground. It is worse that they actually shot at them seeing how they are able to see them a LOT easier than a jet going god knows how fast and having seconds to decide whether the troops are friendlies or the enemy.....

Bulls**t. The bomb landed about twenty five meters from their (again, unmarked...) position. Where that bomb lands is, disregarding mechanical error, the responsibility of the person guiding it, in this case the British soldier with a radio who requested the strike in the first place. The first step is to make sure the pilot knows your position. Otherwise, I do hope that that pilot can distinguish who is who from 5,000 feet at mach-one (utterly f**king impossible). The pilot will drop that bomb wherever it is requested, regardless of whether or not the guy on the ground did his drills right and identified (can be easily accomplished by a smoke grenade or even a mirror). He will, of course, confirm the bombing with the guy on the ground (again, standard procedure). The British soldiers said 'drop it.' Three people died, others were wounded.

Because whether you support the war or not, your country agreed to support not only themselves but the rest of the coalition forces in Iraq. Does that mean that they necessarily have to fly air support? No. However, the fact of the matter is that there are next to no support missions given by the British. Therefore, incidents like this are probably going to involve American aircraft, since they are the ones flying. Would it be any different if the roles were reversed? In fact, don't even bother replying until you answer that.

The American Air Force, like most others, is trained to coordinate with those on the ground and, basically, to give control of their aircraft over to those directing it. Look up the term 'forward observer.' Your patrol either had one attached or had a person, usually the radioman, who had training in that field (calling in support, be it naval gunfire, air support, or other vehicles on the ground with them).

No, you don't. I can figure that out. However, that's what I saw on my google, forty articles on the same incident when googling 'Americans bomb British troops,' and that's the most recent incident. Then the next page will probably yield a few more, but I didn't bother looking. I realize that the deaths have occurred, thanks. Several articles even make reference to it.

Red, white and blue! Holy s**t!

    ferret, you're not funny.

Mentioning me being a vegetarian and telling me to do something i would never do is childish and pathetic. Its a form of discrimination too.

I find very little of what you post funny or even appropriate. You're not in a position to b***h. Whatever, go post about it here. Maybe they'll take more sympathy.

So why are you b***hing when I make use of that spam heaven/flame forum? It's called a flame forum for a reason.

If you've got a right to be a dickhead, be it towards others or generally posting inane bulls**t, who are you to b***h when somebody does the same? You've got the ability to say something back without anything happening discipline-wise; either use it or f**k off.

Because even though I tend to post things seriously instead of f**king about, I'll still post whatever I want. If that means telling you to go burn down a steakhouse and to have the best day ever, so be it.
