    Your a ------ing idiot. There are so many different types of the main genres of music, go compare viking metal with normal metal. Emo music is a style of rock, is emo music rock then? no ofcourse not you dumb----

    Emo is pretty much associated with post-hardcore and indie rock.

    And emo is a subgenre of punk.

    I usually correlate the emo genre mostly with post-hardcore. MCR and FoB are just crappy pop-punk bands. <_<
