    That's why they should be Photoshop free unless stated otherwise. Photoshoping every picture just takes the fun out of it.

    didn't anybody read the rules ?

    lol. all you people whine about how editing is cheating.
    ITS NOT CHEATING, IT WAS ALREADY STATED IN THE RULES THAT IT WAS ALLOWED.

    if you can't live with the rules, dont enter, or bother to comment.

    Though i'm sure GR will have other photography contests, so there's bound to be non-editing contests.

    Well im sure, this was the first contest so I wouldnt doubt it if they changed anything.
    Dont think its cheating since its in the rules, but its kinda gay... Either way it doesnt matter. The rules are the rules...

    Yeah, but a real shot doesn't need editing, and that's what makes it talent. I could take a picture of anything and Photoshop it to look better, but it takes alot more talent to have an eye and capture it.

    Having an "eye" for a shot and having a shot that looks good ain't the same thing. You think that photographers just take a snap and that's it done? Don't be naive son, everything is altered and tweaked. My dad was using an SLR when i was a baby, he has some mint shots but they were all altered from the original during processing. Just because we are in a digital age doesn't mean processing doesn't apply.
    Sure, adding diffuse glow, layers, stuff like that are cheating but tweaking the sat/contrast/brightness are things that real photographers have been doin since box brownings.

    Little tweaks should be aloud if told, but other stuff shouldn't. And I know what I'm talking about. But I'm saying it takes a real photographer to not edit it. I haven't ever edited any of my shots, so I guess I'm not a real photographer, according to your paragraph.

    Sorry love, but I think I may know a thing or two about photography, to your demise. ;)

    Well actually a lot of photographers edit their photos believe it or not.
