So basically,

START SAVING THOSE CREDITS PEOPLE!

 

You never use to gain credits from posting I don't even know why they added that.. they did while I was gone. But yea I agree with you make people actually do something for credits not just post.

 

maybe we could get rid of lots and lots of credits by maybe selling memberships in the shop? but not at the $5 to 1000 ratio like say a ruby would cost 2.5k which it was at and alot of people would buy these and the credits would go wont they?

^ yay. But for the disabling credits for posting idea, I agree with it. There isn't really a point to it, and that can tone down the spamming a little since some people try to gain credits using that method.

 

I must say there has been some top discussion in this thread on this topic thus far, and as for gaining a credit for the posts i would say this is one of the few threads where the topic has remaind the soul purpose of all posts thus far and well worth the 1 credit each respectivly returns.

If you say it makes no difference if we remove posting for credit i'd say you'r mistaken, the longer it dosn't exist the thinner the supply will become. Inevitably we all have to spend some for the latest effect ect... ( not to mention ahead of the CS3 )

Removing the GR bank completely would hurt the sites sources of revinue, however it would force people to pay with CASH for memberships.

I say suspend credit increase via posts and remove credit prizes from the site in comps, thin out the credits then re------uate the situation later on.

Adding memberships that have to be RENEWED as apose to LIFE TIME wouldn't be too bad an idea, however with the ones in place you would have to do a pretty sweet job in order to make people want this sort of membership.

Posting for credits, doesnt it really matter if its online. I always thought credit posting, was for those who just signed up. Because I dont think those who been here a while care if they get a credit if they post. I think of it as an incentive for the new members to post.

As for membership, I dont know. The people that have a lot of credits, already have the memberships. So... why re-stocked tbh, I mean I wont be getting a membership. Maybe if they put Platinum, but it will be like 12k




I always wanted to know, when you permaban people, why do you wipe the credits out of the system? I mean since their permaban, it obvious they arent coming back, so why not put the credit into the system again. I mean Gac had 15k+ right and Vexel had 9k+, and their are other as well. That like 24k that could go back in the system.

Because really does it affect the site in a negative way if its re added in the system.

I say delete credits off inactive accounts.

 

But those inactive accounts wouldn't have used them anyways, so its like the same thing.

Actually, i care about his thoughts. And he shouldn't be banned, but thats another discussion.

We need to delete inactive accounts, and take the credits off them. Plus, charge a monthly fee for crews or something.. and take those credits and delete them out ofthe system

 

Why don't the staff make an announcement thread saying the Diamond Membership has been restocked. I was not even aware it had been restocked till I saw Papermache's post in this topic.
It is barely re-stocked, so many people who might be interested in purchasing the membership, will not check the shop. I feel once it is advertised, you will find them being sold MUCH faster, and therefore, the credits will be eliminated from the system much faster as well.

The only idea that has been brought forward that will work is to remove posting in the forum for credits temporarily. If you think about it, the only reason so many credits have accumulated in the system the past 3-4 months is because of the mass number of posts that get made in this forum on a daily basis.
Just remove it, if people want credits, they can purchase it from members who currently have credits OR they can provide a service/goods to the members on this forum.

By the way, stop bringing up the same suggestion of removing credit prizes from competitions on this site, I believe the staff have taken note of this suggestion and will not impose credits as prizes in competitions on this site anymore.

Oh yes, and check the many other thread's about the credit problem to save time for member's repeating themselves about how some ideas will not work. (Many of these ideas mentioned in this thread have been brought forward countless times before, and there has been many posts to state why those suggestions will not work.)

^^ As for this idea, it would increase traffic on this site as well. Nobody would want their credits to go away, so they would always have to come to the site to claim it, however, I suppose other issues might be raised as well. (Members would complain, etc.)

In addition, I should mention that getting rid of the credit system from Gamerenders is NOT an option. Look through those threads if you are really interested to know why. If a vote was done on GR to decide whether credits should be removed or not, the votes would be twisted based on the older members of Gamerenders and the newer ones. The older members on Gamerenders worked hard for their credits as well as know the importance of credits and how it drives the marketplace on this forum. Take away credits, take away many of the older members as well as the marketplace. Not an option at all, so don't raise that notion again unless you have something to back it up with, and I am sure I will find a post from those topics above that will prove you wrong.
