I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial or just some easy tips for this effect?
I've been making signatures for some friends of mine and one requested a sig with a Jedi in it. I know when I make the render/cut that I probably won't be able to capture the glowing effect very easily so I was wondering if there were any options or tools in Photoshop CS3 to add this?

Also, when I'm cutting out a photo with the polygonal laso sometimes the images go white or the toolbar goes grey. This a problem with Photoshop?

I have CS2. I'm pretty sure it's almost identical to CS3, except missing a few new features. Right click the layer > Blending options > outer glow > play around with the settings until it comes up with something you like.

Well, I know how to do that but I was wondering if you could just a more intense glow to one certain object that to another.

Use the lasso tool and seperate the lightsaber from that jedi.

do you mean that you are trying to render a glow or are you trying to recreate a glow?
