This sounds almost too good to be true. I'm surprised that with all of its merits and benefits that this is all I have ever heard of it. It won't be the material for the next century unless they actually start using it in more things than jackets and spacesuits...

Seems relatively cheap...I checked on Sigma-Aldrich and you can get some decently purified silica gel by the kilogram for around $120...and I bet the yield of unit volume of aerogel per unit volume of silica is enormous because of the addition of gas.

Go back to being a hippy.

Wars are what solve most issues (and also, create them) and it is human nature to fight for superiority over another nation, or the amount of 'peenage' it gives.

If your anti-war, I take it your anti-religion, because religion is the root of most wars and personal beliefs brought into wars in the world.

This reminds me of those diet pills that they advertise late at night, the ones that make you lose ~100 pounds in a month and somehow found a cure for herpes.

    I really don't hope your p.rowar?

Also, religious people ARE anti-war. It's those who become extreme about it are the ones who enjoy it. "Love thy neighbor" "thou shall not kill"
