shouldn't have mentioned proxy. what i wanna do is use a p2p program and because of this, remain "invisible". so far, tor seems likely. but there's not much info on it and how reliable is it?? anyone else???
Well renaming usually helps with the not being able to run programs. In my school had a block on all programs except the originals that were given to us. By simply re-naming the file to another program that was allowed would work. For example renaming firefox to notepad would work perfectly. Im pretty sure your problem is not with the connection but with the program permissions itself. Cain and Abel should be able to retrieve an admin PW so you can log in if you need to do anything else.
use proxys they work except sometimes they dont have flash and such also get your i.p. from home and i forget how but use your i.p. instead of the one your school provides so it conects to your internet instead of the schools...i did it last year in middle school to get past all the firewalls and suck...got people on myspace for 5 bucks
Using an SSH tunnel would also work. Look at this guide, which tells you how to set up an SSH tunnel.
once i read $1, i gave up. i don't have paypal or credit cards. i need something free. UPDATE: it doesnt block me from opening the program, but everytime the program is trying to connect to the server, the line disconnects. the internet connection is not that fast and stable, but i doubt this is coincidental
