Is there anyway I can change my name to difuzeD (without the dot) before it says something about not being able to connect? I tried mIRC but I'm more familiar with the direct IRC link at the top.
ya you can change your name in javairc. in the bottom right of the IRC there should be a white box. type whatever you want in that box and hit enter. that should do it.
if you cant connect with the period, the only way to do it in javairc is to change your username at GR. the easiest way is to use mIRC. its really easy, and there are plenty of tutorials at that mIRC site.
The only signs allowed in your nick on IRC are: [, ], -, _, {, }, and `. If you try to use anything other than those symbols in your nick, your connection will automatically be denied.
