judo is good because you can use it in every day life.

I went to Tiger Schulman's for a while.. Very clean, and costly. :P But it was nice. That's a combination of many things, kickboxing, grappling, etc..

Just wanted to add something I forgot to put earlier. If you do chose to start practicing Judo I would suggest trying out (if there is one that is) for your school/area wrestling team. Honestly all of the throws and just the control over your body that you develop from practicing Judo will instantly give you an edge over a non-judoist. Not to mention that those throws can come in handy.

I have a first dan black belt in tae kwon do. Also tried judo, and kendo, as well as boxing and a few other different things...

Tae kwon do is a very good all round martial art that will teach you self-discipline control and the power to fight. Judo is not a strength martial art moreso a control and strict code of martial art. I would suggest tae kwon do first off then move on into a few other different codes as u get older. Tae Kwon do is a very good code to teach you the basics quickly.

.Doom i was attacked by 2 guys on drugs behind my local pub one night about a year ago. I hospitalised both of them and was uninjured. One of them had a 6inch butterfly knife. Its got a nice place on my trophy cabinet atm.

Well in my opinion, it depends how your going to use what you learn. If your using it for self defense do MMA or tae kwon do.

If you just want to beat the crap out of people, you don't need to learn martial arts. U just punch them, or like doom, stab them :P

    Blah! Tiger Schulman's

    Jujitsu or Muay Thai.

I have friends that do both, and they both love it. Though, Muay Thai would require much more training imho.
