I was a vegetarian for 10 years from age six, then I tried steak. Now I can't live without steak at least once a month. I still eat essentially vegetarian except fish and steak every once and awhile.

I am not a vegan but im pretty much a vegetarian. I don't like to see the slaughter of animals, but the fact is unless 70% of people on earth are vegans the slaughtering of animals isn't going to stop.

Also if im correct being a vegan is not necessarily healthy. From what ive heared it lowers your sex drive, as well as other things... If animals were not put here on earth to eat, then what where they here for, to stare at?

Really McDonald's is great tasting, but ur really not supposed to eat it. A lot of the food helps cause cancer along with chemicals that make the food addicting, and make people fat. Even if you work those calories/fat off it doesn't make the food good for you... a lot of people believe that.

Lawl at these offtopic sexual ramblings.

Meh, I don't think meat-eating is ever going to end.

Also, vegetarians, don't think you're saving any animals because you aren't. You are, however, not contributing to something that you think is wrong. But saving animals? Not happening.

i'm a pollotarian. means i eat chicken and follow a vegetarian diet (also have a steak once in a great while.). being vegan is actually less healthy for you than actually eating meat.

i don't think our slaughterhouses will ever stop, all a part of supply and demand and just look at america, we're greedy fat asses. we want more, and when we get more, it's not enough, *points to biggie sizes.*

i'm too tired to go more in depth and bore you all, but yeah. we're getting fatter, healthy choices are more expensive, blah.

lol @ hilsee as well. i talk to this vegan girl and we always get into this debate. she says, "for every piece of meat i don't eat it saves three animals."
'but they'll be slaughtered eventually because i eat several pieces of meat.'

then i get hung up on.

I can assure that unless they're using mice a 12 ounce slab of meat will nto take more than one animal.

I'm a mix of the 2 I guess. My policy is : I don't eat anything which caused the direct killing of an animal.
I'm planning on becoming a vegan when I live on my own. Since i've been a (i'll call it vegetarian) vegetarian, i feel much better, healthier and stronger. I can't see any reason why somebody wouldn't want to be one.
If other people want to eat meat, that is their choice. I won't dislike somebody for his/her choice. But I will show them the benifits of being a vegetarian/vegan. I just can't stand meat-eating people who say stuff like "vegetarians are bad hunters" or "can't wait to eat meat".. pointless.
Well, I don't know how old you are, but guessing from that comment i'd say 2/3. But even that would be an exaggeration.
You do know if we would kill every animal (or even just 1 species in some cases) their would be no world. Animals can be helpfull without having to kill them. How can you kill something so naturally beautiful like an animal?

^They have the right idea ^_^
