Is Safari the browser a free to use and free to download software and is it better then FireFox, Opera & Internet Explorer in some way?

Please be clear with your post and no flaming if you don't love Apple because I don't either! :P

The Safari beta for Windows is 100% free to download and use, you can get it over at http://www.apple.com/safari/ .
I tried it back when I was using Windows and noticed these things:
-the speed is everything they say it is. better than IE. better than firefox
-it's a really big download. what's up with that?
-runs fine on its' own, but links from other applications won't open with it. I'm sure this is because it's still in BETA, though. Apple may have resolved this since I used it.
-doesn't support "extensions" like firefox, but then again if you write your browser properly the first time, you don't need to "extend" it in any way

My overall impression was that people are going to have to make the call for themselves. If you're just browsing the internet, downloading some files, maybe keeping up on some RSS feeds, Safari will be OK under Windows. If you're some kind of power-user, though, who's always doing something weird with the browser, wait till it comes out of BETA.

My opinion is just stick with firefox or IE but like Red Alert said you have to try it out for yourself.

Ok I tried it out and it was good but still couldn't access most of the sites and stuff which it didn't supported so I shall stick back to Firefox.

Safari is nice because it has a simple UI and tends to be pretty bulletproof.
