idk if this helps but you can always try to block the port limewire uses so she can't upload. or she can but it will be like 0.1kb/s.

first start > run. type 'cmd' without the 's. then 'ipconfig /all' and you'll find something like 'standard gateway' or something. anyway that's the link to access your router. it's usually http://192.168.1.1 but never hurts to check.

anyway from there you can (hopefully) close the port to limewire.

or just tell her to don't DL stuff?

I know my brother did that to me when I was using Azureus to dl my stuff. i came home and saw all the dl speeds @ 2kbs :P

and yes it will help, even if they aren't restricted completely from dling or uploading, minimizing it will definitely show an improvement

when ur logging into the router, if nothing is changed the default user name is admin and there should be no password on it so just hit enter and ur in.

Most routers if it is default there is a password, but it is admin.

I dunno about Dlink but on my Linksys router theres a tab called QoS (Quality of Service) where you can make one/more port/s or mac address have more priority over the bandwith than other ports/mac addresses. Its what I do for my computer and whenever I download something I take ALL the bandwith till my download is done (yea im not nice). It could work for gaming.

Not sure if it would help but its a good try to see if you have something like that.
