First I checked my dash board and I got a message from someone (you know who you are.) saying that there 360 just gave them the ring of death and now mine keeps freezing.(You better not have sent me a virus damit!) It freezes right when it boots up and the little silver balls starts spining around.

Any ideas, I really dont want to send it in to microsoft unless I absolutly have to.

    thanks.

    UPDATE:

Now it won't even put an image on the screen.

Sounds like your gonna have to send it in to Microsoft.

You can try disabling or removing the hard-drive first though, it may fix your problem.

You might have to send it to Microsoft but I bet its a heating/power problem. Lots of people get the same problem like you do and have to send it back. The problem happens because of the lack of ventilation. Heres a crazy fix that someone used and it worked.

I tried removeing the hard drive and as for over heating I doubt it. The the 360 and power box are and always have been off the ground and I just turned it on and read a message when it did it.

Same thing is happening with my 360, but I'm not in America so Microsoft isn't an option for me :( if only I had a heat gun..

do not try the towel method that tell show on youtube, because yes it will work for a few weeks but then say goodbye to your 360.

it is overheating, and some of the solder points may have partially melted off, so send it off to microsoft for repair and they will put the new heatsink system in it.

yes I also recommend that you send it back to microsoft.

oor you could try with another harddrive, like your friends or something. it might be the HD.

anyway I wish you the best of luck.
