P.S. im hoping this pc will last me through the crysis stage maxed and hopefully through most the dx10 era if at all possible... also is there a big difference between the E6600 C2D and the Quad Q6600?

thanks HEAPS for any input ^_^

the raptor in 250gb is $460! lol thats way out of my budget ..will the hard drive have much effect on the quality or speed of my gaming?
p.s. the raptor runs at 10,000rpm

keep the quad, if your trying to save, you can because 700 for a gfx card is too much, you can get a great one for 500 that will get you thru the crysis stage max, and everything else looks good and should work. and the mobo, also a bit too much but hey, if you want to have the best hardware go for it

    my opinion

i think thats fine for gaming, my comp is good for gaming and im running nvidia 7 series ^^ (the 8's came out like 3 months later i should've waited >< bust still) and im not sure if its your first time building or what but if so, GL and dont screw the motherboard directly to the case! (causes a BIG short circuit, kills more or less everyting xD) if your looking for good deals always check newegg, i got all my parts there [warning not meant as an advertisement but kind is sorry ><]

I don't see any cooling things. You'll probably want liquid cooling if you're going for the best stuff aorund.

liquid is not for beginners and is pretty expensive for what you get.

highend air can get you close to low-midrange liquid but at 1/3-1/4th the cost.
