that what would you think would be the primary native language? I know there is a disproportionate number of dutch here but there aren't THAT many... and as a non-native well... everyone...
I'm counting all dialects, yes. again I'm nto saying one language is better than another or anything(English is a rather F'ed up overcomplex mesh of various other languages strung together over time) I'm jsut saying that English just so happens to be very common especially on an internet forum where 99% of posts are in English...
Oh i agree. I get 5 hours of french at school every week and only 3 hours of english.. While EVERYTHING is in English these days. Good thing i'm half english.
I'm going to be blunt, your English seems fairly decent. I might be missing somethign and I'm sure you've made your errors in the past but if I hadn't looked up your profile I'd have assumed that you were an American. I wish my Spanish was as good as your English. out of curiosity is Belgium's dominant language French or German? I'm not the best educated on the matter. heck even knowing that Belgium is a border country makes me more proficient than a majority of the world's population... ehh
A complement? From Xelink? Never! Well, i obviously don't pay much attention to grammar, spelling etc. on forums. But my english is good in general, i've got this c0ckney accent, lol. But i don't pay much attention during the english lessons, seeing as i know most of it. And if there are any errors in my posts here on GR, its 5 AM atm. Its Flemish ^_^ . Well, officially its called Dutch. You can compare it with English English or American English. What do you mean with Belgium is a border country?
well isn't Belgium basically surrounded by Germany the ocean and France? and the Neatehrlands(ahh forgot about that I knew they were close though) heh surprised that I didn't know that. I took AP European history in 10th grade(a 12th grade class) without every taking world history and managed to get a 4 on the test(which is impressive considering that at my school, 70% got a 1 or 2, and 20% got 3s and barely anyone got 4s or 5s) On another note, I cannot understand c0ckney in the least. Seems very foreign to me, the accentuation and emphasis seems diferent than any other form of English. I can understand most other British accents and Australian accents but ------ney is... ehh. It would be comparable to you trying to understand some sort of ebonified or redneck dialect in America
Don't forget Luxembourg You're not the only one though, I've heard that so often. I guess you really do need to have London blood Also, AP European history seems like a nice subject to follow (is subject right? The system is totally diffrent here in Belgium). What does it cover? Just art or the whole package? And yes, rednecks aren't the most understandable species on this planet.
AP Euro is a course. it basically covers political social and religious (and cultural development on a relatively gross level)development within European society from circa 1200 through the present. It's more generic in the sense that it doesn't cover each countries history in depth but it is still a rather in depth course, atleast if you never took AP world history. You learn too many names and too many events. also luxumborg never did anything in history it just sat there in between germany and france doing nothing while maintaining low taxes as to attract corporations to headquarter themselves there.
