The best you can probably get is an e4300 or something and OC it. I highly doubt it that you can get everything with a budget of $650.

    nope. not at $650
nto a huge deal not like it's really any faster. Heck I never even fully utilize a dual core system yet. Most people with quads note that they never really go past say 40% CPU usage.. the exception being if you run a lot of media encoding applications.

you can get a decent dual core CPU though.

    c2d e6420 $180
    Biostar T force p965 $85
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813138039
    2GB RAM $75
    HSF(acrtic freezer) $30
    x1950pro $110
Coolermaster centurion case(take your pick) ~$30
    HDD $65
    DVD burner $30

    somethign like that

    let me dig up links

    EDIT: 800

take your pick on which to upgrade q6600 or 8800GTS 320mb. I'd personally go for the faster card if you're gaming.

Go with the 8800GTS...it's a great card. I have it installed in my bro's computer and gaming's been going real smooth..although if you want plan on playing on resolutions higher than 1600, than get one with more memory as you'll probably need it to keep the FPS up. :)

Also, as for the quad-core, there really is no point in getting it as most applications don't require that kind of power. Also, with your budget, it would be better to get a dual-core with a high-end motherboard and some quality low-latency RAM.

I think that I will agree with both dark prince and xelink.
Quad core isnt that great of a deal anyways
but for 800 bucks I am willing to go all out if possible :)

c2duo processor will work fine with me or something around the speed of 2.4ghz or somewhere there :)
8800GTX will be fine for me.
also a good looking case would be awesome as well

See all I want is for around 800 or 700 USD Bucks
is a descent Gaming and Working PC which is fast at gaming and regular day work.
A card like 8800 320MB will be fine or the other higher one
but as for now all I need is

2GB Ram (extended to 4GB if possible, as I might just upgrade later on)
C2Duo (as Xelink pointed out that q6600 isnt that great of a deal)
    High End Motherboard
    Nice Cooling System if possible
Good Gaming Video Card 8800 :)
    Nice PSU
Good HDD with atleats 7200 RPM or a Raptor 10k Rpm
DVD Burner, Writer, DL, etc etc

I know that under 800 or so we can get something like that
Faster Card and a descent CPU would be awesome! Xelink.

Also if there is a way I would also like to upgrade later on in couple of years if I get more money so that would be a good think to keep parts that are able to be upgraded later on

so how about it guys

Btw i will be building and buying parts from Newegg around the time of ThanksGiving or Haloween which is around 30th October :)
So If I get more money till then then I will try to upgrade

but as of now 800 is my budget
so ... is it possible then?

The prices go up and down all the time, i am gonna build my system around the same time you are, so make sure every once and a while you check the prices to make sure that you cant upgrade or that your over budget.

Umm.. considering the budget I would recomend you to buy these things...

2 gig ram (extended to 4 gig) but extened to 4 gig, you can never have too much ram :D

Good graphics card like Nivida Geforce or Radieon

    New power supply (silent Fan)

    Water cooling system

    A new DVD rom

A new hard drive (Raptor with 250 gig and 7200 RPM)

Keep and external hard drive also

    Mother board ASRock P4VM890

you don't need three fans, atleast not at the cost of $9 each. onyl reason I'd said 3 before was because they were dirt cheap and that with the price cut after the 2nd fan it only endup costing $2 extra to have a backup(and that the yateloons old on jab-tech are of varying quality, they're technically 3rd party clones so you could take the better 2 of them) The idea behind the Yateloon recomendation is that it is indeniably the best fan you can get for the $$$.
    observe
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=137832
in all seriousness the FN121 IS the better fan... it just cost 3 times as much.

I'd advise getting an SATA burner. $2 more but easier cable management and more "futureproof" as in you'll be able to use it in future systems whearas you won't be able to use PATA burners so well.

total for what you have comes to $866 with around $125 worth of rebates.

I'd say that fits in just under the $800 mark after shipping is factored in.

btw the case that I chose with the 450Watt PSU that will be good for the MotherBoard right?
and everything esle goes into place?
btw what DVD Burner do you suggest? If they are cheap I can get two :D

    so yeah

    everything works out good right?
and the PSU Processor and everything will work out with itself right?

    Thanks
    Zain
