My insight on a few posts on this page.. LP = Alternative Rock... New LP = Alternative/Regular Rock Drowning Pool = Hard Rock (Both Old and New) Dimmu Borgir is Black Metal with a hint of Symphonic Black Metal (Because they actually play w/ an Orchestra..haha) But they are a little "mainstream" if you know what I mean.. I prefer some stuff that isn't as known... Some of my favorite Black Metal bands: - Dragonlord - Vesania - Satyricon
Dragonlord is probably one of my favorite Black Metal bands out of that lil' list.... Them and Satyricon.
I hate BM, and I also hate the label of Deathcore - it's just DM with breakdowns. Or metalcore with DM vocals.
Hahaha. I usually sing along to bands like Opeth and what-not.. I haven't learned how to get my voice to do what they do in Satyricon..or most any BM bands....Opeth is fun because I can just do the Death Metal growl...and it works fine for me....unless it's an acoustic song...or they're singing..or both. Hahaha.
I listen to lots of different types of metal. Favourite genre is probably black metal (at the moment) So bands like: Immortal Mayhem Burzum Bishop of Hexen Anyone going to Wacken?
the considering Avenged sevenfold metal now because of M. Shadows he cant keep with the loudness of punk rock after he ripped his vocal cords but either way A7X is a good band
Metal wise i'm into a lot of different styles, I give everything a chance, i'm just not into the really repetitive old school death metal like Cannibal Corpse, Origin, ect. After the Burial Annotations of an Autopsy Arsonists Get All The Girls As Eden Burns At Rest At the Throne of Judgment Born of Osiris Bound By Blood The Breathing Process Bring Me The Horizon Burning the Masses Carnifex Cholera CthoniC Darkest Hour Dead To Fall Despised Icon Dimmu Borgir Emmure Eternal Lord Evita From the Carnival of Horrors Gotherfall I Shot The Sheriff Ion Dissonance killwhitneydead Knights of the Abyss Legacy of Pain Necrophagist Oblige Old Man's Child Postmortem Promises Seraph Impaled Suicide Silence Through the Eyes of the Dead Veil of Maya War From A Harlot's Mouth Whitechapel The Yellow Sign
If I lived anywhere remotely close, I would... Been wanting to have a chance to go for a few years, now. But now a days more and more bands are making the trip over the ocean to the States to play, even if they are all seperate tours. Pagan Fears is my favorite Mayhem song; and I prefer Burzum's ambient stuff over his work with vocals, but I do love the song War. Bishop of Hexen is a really good band, they're really catchy.
