Malignity and detestation can be felt throughout the world. Nothing can compare to the feelings of such an awful occurrence. The starving children in North Korea, the genocide in Africa, the tortured innocent lives in the Gaza Strip, can not even compare to the realities of what we are facing to this day. Never before has the world become so heartless and free of happiness. The sad part of the world today, is not that genocide and people are starving to death every day, but that so many people live ignorant of the fact that it is happening. So many people live throughout their lives happily ignoring the homeless begging for a few pennies, they ignore the ads on the television begging for a single dollar to give an orphan in Africa food to save himself from starvation. The world can go either two ways. In one direction, the world can go for a more caring, less crime dreamlike world. In the other, the world can become worse, disease filled, and starvation would be extremely common. Only an extremely low population of people would actually be able to live in an ignorance filled bliss, while they walk on fragile living bodies with spiked leather boots.

No single human, could rationally enjoy the latter choice. The idea is so horrific, it would literally cause an epidemic throughout not only the living world, yet as well as those who have died, and those who have yet to be conceived. Everyone would all join in on the mourning of the death of the chance to actually be able to exist in a world of happiness and the exultation of evil. Throughout the entire world, anyone and everyone would search for a reason to smile, yet people would search their entire lives, and yet never once, experience a true, heart filled, everlasting smile.

When we realize what the world we live in today really looks like underneath a magnifying glass, it is as horrible as the ideology of hell. Everyone is looking for that special something that will make their heart flip with glee, whether it be a food, an amazing person, or an idea such as being more knowledgeable or artistic. However, what truly makes the world appalling for the future is that these people would do anything to reach these goals, even if captured by using horrible tactics, such as lies, deceptions, cheating, murder, lying, mental and physical abuse, and the list may go on forever. It is upon these mere decisions on how we reach out goals that characterizes us as people. Taking that into consideration, I can clearly, and broadly state that our world is filled with convicts of the most basic morals. We are surrounded by dishonesty and lies and we have been all our lives. This causes the effect that we may seem to assume that to the be the normality, and only when they are not there, it is abnormal, and something senses to be wrong.

In order to be able to make our world obvious for a more caring, dreamlike world, we have to be removed of a corrupt society. People would have to become more caring about those around, this can be also categorized as maturity. Maturity is what makes people, believe it or not, fall into place. No matter how anyone thinks about it, the only way to climb in society to this day, is through a high maturity level. In order to get a well paid, six or seven figure income, it is necessary to have that maturity level, or the employer will choose someone who does. Not only is being mature good for sole purposes, but as well as others. For instance, if our society only cared about themselves, farmers would only grow enough food for their own needs, this would start a starvation throughout the entire technological world.

It is impossible to give a step by step direction guide on how to make our world a nearly Utopian society, because there is always going to be a problem in one corner of the world, and while that one may become fixed, another outbreak will occur in another. War, famine, starvation, genocide, all will always become more common with the large population our world contains. The only thing that will make our world work together is reacting to these problems in the most perfect way. Taking away the freedoms of citizens will only cause anger. However, giving citizens too much freedom will cause anarchy. All forms of government are corrupt, it is only a matter of choice which is the least.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once stated, “Be not the slave of your own past. Plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old.” The only true way to gain a happy filled future, is to never do the same thing over and over. This can be small things such as never live in the same house for more than 5 years, but as well as on the larger universal scale, repeating famine, and starvation throughout time is only going to hurt the world in the future. It needs to be stopped and fixed for a better cause. Whoever will, will become their savior.

The world is going to Hell, thats all we need to know. I am taking a course in international politics, and all three perspectives of political approaches have failed.

Liberal (int'l institutions) perspective has failed MANY times. The UN and other organizations are purely soft-formed Westernization clubs. Either you are a non-Western nation following UN standards (free trade, democratic government, etc.) or you are an enemy to the so-called international community. Thats why the League of Nations failed just before World War II; cause nations always sucked at diplomacy.

Realist (power) perspective is way out of balance. The big five are constantly dealing with problems (Russia hates US for Poland missle system, Britain and France under fire for racist security, etc.) and third-world nations are fighting constantly because of anger over the Western powers in int'l diplomacy.

Identity (culture/ethnics) perspective, of course, has sucked from Day One. Because of - as mentioned before - the non-Western nations uprising against the US (nations like N. Korea, Iran, and so on). Because we constantly relate to how the Western influence is generaly negative on smaller nations, it becomes a problem with how the US and the European powers will ever deal with non-Western states, including Russia and China.

    Nothing is sacred anymore.

Are we not all so gifted with the chance to grow up in a world of hate, violence and ignorance of the pleasures of life.

I gave up a long time ago caring about the world outside of my own little personal space. Ill be sitting on a hill drinking rum to the site of nukes passing overhead sometime in the future.

This has got to be the best post I have ever seen from you, Creepy. After returning from Belize, I see your point clearer than I would have just 2 weeks ago. To think in the 21st century you have houses in which look as if it is going to tear down right before your eyes. Dirty water, people riding their bike because gas prices and prices on cars in general have sky rocketed to the point where there is no other option, and even with a car, only 3 traffic lights throughout the entire country...

    Kudos for this post. ^_^

This world is going down the drain. We'll all die on December 21, 2012 anyway.

well i'm flattered. And yeah, it really is depressing to think how in one side of the world, people are happy as if their lives couldn't get any better. Then just a few hours on a plane away, there are people whose lives couldn't get any worse.

Reflecting on this has only caused me depression.
21st of December 2012 you say? I believe it could be sooner, the world is skating on thin ice and it's only going to take one little push to tip us all over.

I think I need a hug before I turn emo...

No one is ever happy. The whole meaning of life is to be unhappy and strive at achieving an unreachable dream. Hell the people with the dirty water and shoddy houses probably have the best life considering, much less stress and responsibility. They only need to focus on feeding themselves and their familys, and not dying. Mind you in the 'civilised' world, we are lumped with paperwork the likes of which NO ONE understands, and rules and regulations that make u fear farting in the wrong tone.

Screw the world. Ill be sitting on a hill with a bottle of rum watching the world burn before my time is done.

    **hug**

I don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but I did notice one thing as I was debating with someone over fuel.

We're getting too dependent on our government. We are getting WAY too dependent on our government, and as the U.S. government, Democrats and Republicans, become more and more corrupt and idiotic, we become more and more dependent. The same thing's happening to many many MANY other countries, and some have already fallen down the drain, so close to our home, too.

Sad sad place we live in. <_<

The world's going to Hell, you say? This is news how?

People are ----ed up. There's no question about it. You've got the Hitlers on one hand, who pop 12 million people because they're of a different race/religion, and you've got the average kid in the West on the other, that only gives a damn because MTV ran a special on it a while back and he couldn't find anything else to watch. Turn on the evening news, you'll realize it--you can watch the world blow itself up on CNN and be done in time for Lost to be on.

You can walk into some places in the US and be about as likely to be shot there as you would in Fallujah. You can open the paper and read about some guy that got too pissed off at those around him, grabbed a gun, and ran through his campus shooting, killing thirty-odd people in the process and wounding dozens more.

People will disagree, and people will get pissed. Pissed off people do stupid ----, like blow each others' brains out because the other guy wears a different hat than he does and lives on land that he and the other guy both believe is theirs. You can walk into Prague and see the Roma, people that often don't speak the local language, much less English, because the government often doesn't allow them to go to school. People will be discontent with everything, Several groups want their religion to hopefully be spread throughout the world. The other doesn't want to hear a damn thing about it, but doesn't care what they do so long as it doesn't affect them. The third thinks the first is a bunch of jackasses and should pull their head out instead of being so blind and, more importantly, to quit knocking on his door and interrupting his MTV.

Utopia is a dream world, and unfortunately, something that will never be achieved--unless, of course, you've got a group of people that think the same, look the same, act the same, and believe the same. Appeasing people won't help. Removing guns from the situation won't remove some guy's desire to kill somebody, since he'll just swap to a knife or a bat. Making it illegal to prosthelyze will make one group happy and cause the other to march in the streets. Putting limits on what people say will keep some happy and piss others off. Too many restrictions on freedom removes a person's ability to think for himself, and simply makes it easier to be less responsible. Too many freedoms will cause anarchy by one group, a huge amount of responsibility and happiness from another, and a large group of ----ups in between.

And even if you remove the right or privilege to do something that might offend or hurt another person, somebody will still be pissed off at either the system doing the removing or the guy next to him, and the cycle begins again.
