only way you could possibly get a free .com name was if it came with your webhosting

ixwebhosting.com offers a free one with their economy plan, just you don't get any databases and stuff. I hear yahoo.com is having them on sale for $4.95

H30 studios was giving plans away and subdomains with them, not sure if they included a domain. But I give away domains with the purchase of hosting from me.

For those with little money, we offer 300mb disk space, 3000mb's of transfer, and unlimited mysql db's, email's, ftp's and all packages come standard with cpanelx and fantastico, all of that is $3/m.

If you need to see more, you can check it out here Packages

Domains arent free buddy. Its impossible to get for free unless you work a deal with someone else who will buy it. Everyone mainly buys the domain from one place. Its not like they can do it for free. Hosting can be free. But domains are impossible to get free. =/

Not entirely true, domain can be free if someone registered it for 5 yrs and now has no use for it and decides to give it away.

Same with hosting, its not free, since someone has to pay for it every month/yr

You won't get a free .com domain, (expect if it comes with something payed or you win it), as is costs money to register a domain with the people who regulate the domains.

If your looking for a free domain I would recommend

    http://www.dot.tk

you get a free .tk domain just a little banner :P Daz
