I thought the same exact thing, But once you begin watching, Its not just another documentary to change your beliefs or culture. But a film to open the world to the crooks behind the U.S government. With each fact supported by truth.
I am watching it, but I pray to G-d hoping this isn't some anti-American movie. I am getting sick of people who say the American gov't is corrupt and such. Would it be better if we were a failed state of terrorists lik Afghanistan and the Taliban? Or maybe if we lived in social and political exhile like N. Korea? I mean, honestly. I am not going to make asssumptions until after I see the movie, but this was one of my two cents for now.
I shall take a look at this when I have the time to put aside to dedicate to that. But it just amazes me.. The ignorance of American citizens today. They won't even watch a movie that may tell them more about their own country, and their own countries corruption. I could see if you couldn't care less about say.. Iceland's government corruption, but it's your own. C'mon. :/
It's not that I don't care, but I am getting annoyed with people making the Bush administration sound so much worst for the same reasons. I mean, yes, Bush f-cked up the US more than any other president in US history, but to go and make theories about 9/11 being a planned attack by the US? It isn't all that random, really. International politicial theorists have predicted that the US would go to war with the Middle Eastern terrorists like Taliban and Al-Qaeda since 1993. It's more reasonable to say that we are fighting Muslims cause they hate our culture (e.g. Crusades in the 10th century, conflict in Bosnia and Yugoslavia in 1990) than that Bush would go as far as blowing up buildings, To me, thats like saying the US killed JFK because he knew too much.

WOW Personally i couldnt care less if every gun toting, hypocritic, trigger happy, murderous nation in this world got nuked. do the rest of us all a godamm favour to be honest. and probably end the cycle of hate and destruction that ultimately religon is the cause of. How can anyone take the word of man and conisder it the word of man? First sin of man was creating god, the rest of the sins were the spawn of this original sin. Yes, that's my point. Future conflicts will be based on cultures and religion. Islam v. the West is a classical example. True, it was the so-called idiotic Christians in Europe, but what difference does it make to the Muslims of areas like Iraq and Afghanistan? Judeo-Christians have always had trifles with the Islamic nations for various reasons. A very famous writer named Samuel Huntington wrote an article called "A Clash of Civilizations?", in which he describes long before the Iraq War that we'd go to war with Islam.
I am atheist. I am one of the few that prefer to take responsibilty for my own actions and not cowardly hope for forgiveness from a god that no sane person has ever conversed with. Jesus Christ was just a condemned man making up the best story he could in the attempt to save his own sorry hide. And the reason christianity is the power it is today is only due to a pagan emporers greedy manipulation to gain even more power.
i just finished watching part I. i must say, i liked it very much. I am raised catholic against my will/choice, so therefore became atheist. Seeing the first part really shines a different light on religion. It doesn't say religion is stupid or bad, it just explains that today's religion is derived from the beliefs of people living at least 10.000 years bc. I don't see why christian people shouldn't watch the first part. Just see it as a test by god. As you call everything else that questions the truth about religion. i'm gonna watch the rest now. Watched the rest of it. Very interesting documentary. If the things claimed in this movie are true, then we are facing a very bad and very sad, ------ed up era, full of hate, violence and extortion. BUT we will overcome that era. Something bad needs to happen, before something good can come of it.
I will say this one more time, This movie is NOT A MOVIE THAT HATES ON AMERICANS. IT IS A MOVIE THAT POINTS OUT THE FACTS BEHIND THE US GOVERNMENT. I can not push that enough.
