Help! Photoshop won't work for me anymore... It keeps saying I'm running low on Memory(RAM) and it's never done this before. It just started this morning and has been like this all day. I went into Processes and it says its using 16,000KB of Memory. Is this normal? Any idea's besides "Buy more RAM"? I don't have the money to get anymore. I have 512 right now, and like I said, its never done this before.

I only have 512mb RAM, and opening something like Firefox + Photoshop is suicide.

well mine says its running at like 57,000 xD Yeah I think you just need to upgrade your RAM, even though you wanted other ideas, that might be the only one that works really well.

lol lets see I went from running PS CS2 on my laptop with 512mb ram to running PS CS3 on my new computer with 4gb of Ram and god forbid I had anything else opened with PSCS2 on my laptop or it would constantly freeze, now I havent seen it freeze once...

I'd suggest throwing atleast another 512mb ram chip in there if not just buying a 1g all together, might be your best choice because in the future who knows you might decide to upgrade to 2gb and you would already have a 1gb instead of 2 512mb so you might just wanna go buy some more ram... I'm not exactly sure what kind of ram your machine takes but I'd highly suggest finding out then going to maybe tigerdirect.com because I got 4 1gb ram for $240 and free shipping and handeling
