So very obviously going to be the best game ever made. Ever.

I'd better give you a few reasons before you start saying...

"OMG! STFU n00b! Halo/Mario/Scrabble wud pwn ur stoopid game! I hop u die in a kar axeidunt!"

Firstly, the top line isn't true to everybody. Just sensible people. Well, people who like games like this. But I promise you, if it lives up to its expectations, I bet you it will be in the top ten games of the year. So, to the "about the game" bit.

Spore was created by Will Wright, the innovative genius behind the sims. Before you say "oh, the sims isnt that good. I bet its a sim like remake", take some chloroform and go away from interupting. And the let me drum into your subconsious, or the consious thought bit of the people who havnt just taken chloroform, it isnt like the sims, except that it probably counts as in the same genre.
Spore starts with one, insignificant micro-organism. Just like any other micro-organism in the primordial soup of a begging world. As a micro-organism, you must engluf micro-organisms smaller and weaker than you, and run away from big ones. As you eat, you gain, well... experience really. With this you can evolve your Micro-organism, giving it cilia or flagella, to make yourself move faster, biological defence mechanisms to fight off other micro-organisms and many more.
After a bit of this, you'll get the chance to evolve into a multicellular organism. This isnt fully random, you can customise your creature and make it unique, so you can make a really awesome creature, nearly anything your heart desires. As in the first stage iof evolution, you have to eat creatures smaller than yourself and run away from bigger ones. When you get enough points from this, you can evolve one again. Your creature lays an egg, and you can customise the creature. If you remove its fins (as it seems all creatures evolved from the micro-organisms start in the sea) it will sink, then crawl to land. If you give it wings, it will fly off. You know.
With your new semiintelligent creature, you will wander the lands, soar through the skies or swim through the seas, on a planet actually populated by creatures other characters have created, along with some generated by the game. It wont be a MMOG, but it will be able to access a database of all the creature ever created, ad load them onto your data. You could even have a race your freind created on your very own planet. The game also adapts its creature to your creature; if you make a flying meat eater, the database will search for creatures which both are eaten by your animal and will try to eat it. You can also teach your creature commands by cammanding the basic commands. An example of this is combining eat and walk, so you can drag your newly killed meal away from other predators.
The main purpose of this stage of evolution is to find a mate of the same creature, and once you have done this, you will "do the nasty" and lay an egg. If you spend enough points on the brain of yur creature, you will lay a intelligent creature. Enter the tribal period.
You now command a tribe of your creatures. By upgrading this tribe, you can eventually get a city of super-intellignet life froms.
...It doesn't stop there though. Once you have the technology, you can create a UFO, and fly to other planets in your solar system, then galaxy, then universe!. You can colonise other planets, though not all will be inhabitable by your creature. Apparently these would be a good place to land to see your create asplode. You can send either enviro canisters or something, which slowly make the planet inhabitable, or just build domes, which you can live in almost immediately while the envoro canisters do their work.
You could even colonise planets which your friend has fully made, if you travelled far enough into your universe to find it....
