The 360 has my vote... If im correct Blue Ray is kinda pointless unless you have the blue ray tv and everything is hooked up with the quality cables... but who can tell the difference between digital and blue ray anyway? the ps3 cost $100 - $200 more depending on which one you get... it may have a bigger hard drive but what the hell u going to save thats over 20 gigs? and until late 2008 xbox has better games and may as well as late 2008.

I chose 360. I considered choosing the PS3, but after reading this ( http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/47940 ) I changed my mind.
out of curiousity, how are they next gen if they've been out for a year and a half and the newest of the consoles use the most primitive parts?
Personally, i wante to get a ps3, because i've been loyal to sony for a long time. Got everything since ps1. But seeing the price made me seriously doubt if Sony actually got a brain. I mean, seeing how much money a ps3 costs, I could easily invest that money into my computer and have something way better then a ps3 due to high end Performance. Recently i considered to get a 360 instead of a ps3, but i still don't know what to do. each platform has games i'd like to try out, (Assassins Creed or MGS4, all upcoming titles) In the end i might choose the ps3 for the games, INCASE the price goes down for Christmas. So i suggest to you, if you can afford it to get a ps3. It got, from my view, the better games.
I don't own any, but personally, I would buy a 360 because it's more established and has a bigger library of games at this point.
There's a fun fact, all of the 360's are faulty, microsoft has indeed stated that. So you gotta watch out for RRoD and disc scratching if you buy a 360.
