Every time I join a game in Warcraft 3: TFT, in random times it will make this "bzz" sound, EVERYTHING freezes.. sound keyboard mouse monitor etc, and I have to restart computer. It only does in when i'm IN an actual game, not the channel or anything..

    Weird? Why?

It can't be 'old' parts, like the gfx card.. I got a pretty good rig here and i've played the game for like 2 years now never had this till recently..

Someone help please? Thanks in advance

I had a similar problem, and it had to do with my power supply. Try playing more graphic intensive games and see if something similar happens. Cheap power supplies fail extremely often.

As I said, try running a graphic intensive game and see if a similar thing happens. But before you try anything, a simple reinstall of warcraft may fix the problem.

    Good Luck!

Power supply hmm? But, why woulden't it do it when i'm.. just on the computer? Internet, etc?

The reason this sounds interesting, is because I have 2 computers - other just died, and the problem was power supply... so i'm thinking they got hit by lightning?

If it isn't power supply, could it be anything else, at all?

Faulty wiring in the computer case, etc? Do you know?

It wouldnt happen when youre on the internet or email because the load on your graphic card and cpu are very low. Maybe it got hit by lightning, but my guess is that its just starting to... die. What brand is your computer? Is it custom built?

I really doubt its bad wiring, because if it is, your PC wouldnt work at all.

The problem is not limited to your power supply. It could be a number of factors (eg. your graphic card) But my first guess would be power supply and 80% of the time I am right =]

As I said, try running a graphic intensive game and see how oyu go

    Good Luck!

I'm going to buy a power supply today.

I have a custom built comp - Can you give me a quick step-by-step on how to install one?

So.. if power supply isn't the problem, and my gfx card is a GeForce FX 5900GT 128mb.. what could be?

I am almost sure its your Power Supply. And Yes I will help you install it. Just PM me when you have it.

@DarkPrince11: I dont think its game corruption. Looking through Blizzards technical documentation, I found that a corrupt game leads to Critical Errors rather than the whole computer locking up. However, I suggest you try and reinstall anyway, just to be sure.

    I reinstalled it.

The PC Tech guy said it can't be the power supply.

Nobody on this planet can figure out this problem.
