who here lifts weights? if so, post your stats (if you know them, such as how much you bench, curl, etc etc)
I lift. I try going every day to golds gym and working different body areas. I am a new comer though. Just started about a month ago but have been seeing results. Right now I work everything on a 5X10 basis. Let's say I start At 100 pounds doing whatever. I'd do that 5X10 Then I'd up the weight and do 4x10 up it again 3x10 and again 2x10 last 1x10 Sometimes I spend about 30+ minutes just as one station. I like lifting, it's pretty fun for me. I don't think about anything else and my mind just goes clear of everything. Right now though I'm trying to cut as well. I've gone down to 200 from 218 since the summer started. I'm 6'4 so my ideal weight with the muscle mass I have is around 190. Let's just say I hit that wall when it comes to cutting so it's been coming of quite slowly.
I did lift weights. Like everyday after school I was so pissed that I just wanted to kill someone, so I decided strengthen myself up. But as soon as school ended I haven't really done anything... im so lazy D; And if I actually do something these days, I just punch the punching bag that I have here in mah home.
I've been going to the gym for a bit over a year now, I'm not sure exactly how much I can lift etc, I usually go for more reps instead of more weight (which is usually better). I can curl about 10kg doing 10-15 reps (one arm), but like I said I'm not sure exactly how high I could go doing 1-2. I think I can squat around 50-60kg (once again that's doing about 10 reps) Generally in my gym sessions I start off with a run, then move onto the weights room doing 10-15 reps, 3 sets of each thing, except sit ups / side bends etc. Where I do about 100 in sets of 25 (on one of the bench's that lean back so im on about a 240 degree angle)
ahh, here we go, updated stats as of my workout from today 1RM for bench, 225 1RM for curl, 105 1RM for Squat, 405 may sound high, but I have been lifting for about 4-4 1/2 years now.
You can bench 225? what are you a pr0fessional weight lifter? i just manage 125 but do 110 for comfort.
yep generally more reps on less weight is better - More weight which u cant handle is bad since you cant do it all the time Been at the gym for like a year and i can see the mass building up but gone down a little since i aint been training for quite a while due to exams I curl around 24KG (52.8 lbs) on right arm and around 20KG (44 lbs) on left - meh lef arm weaker lolz - 5 sets of 10 reps Bench 70KG - 5 sets of 10 again = 154 lbs I got other weight lifting exercises too but that gets complex from the main ones above including training other parts of the body using dumbs etc DARKSTAR
