Alienware Laptops?

    Hi in the middle of 2008 im going to be getting a laptop and I was wondering if alienware laptops were any good for gaming?

    yea in my opinion i love em soo much .. but u can make a better PC by making it ur self for around a grand.. spec splz?

    Dude i know some people that have some alien ware cases.. if you like the cases alot and i know someone i help build one for that we made it 3 times as good for the price they wanted for the exact some one

    hes talking about laptops, so unless your friend can built laptops..



    Yes, especially by mid 2008, desktops hardware is ahead by about a year i believe. The battery isnt going to last for a long time so unless u really want a laptop for gaming, get a desktop

    brand doesn't matter much with OEMs.

    basically all OEMs do is assemble other companies parts. Hence the DIY trend among gamers.


    now, at the end fo the day all that really matters are what parts are used.

    Anyone know any stores that sell Alienwares? Like Best Buy or Circut City?
    I wanna buy one but not from the internet.....Friends say they seen them at Best Buy but I never do. Anyone know a store that sells them for sure?

    I got an alienware laptop. I mainly bought it for gaming when I travel :)
    I bought an alienware because I couldn't find a laptop with a decent video card, a decent sized screen, and a core 2 duo all together. The XPS has those features but they are a hell of a lot more expensive.

    I get around $600 off of any XPS from dell now though :)

    I would suggest since its in the middle of 2008 to wait and see the other brands, the xps might even go down doubtfully.

    Alienware looks good, but are outrageosly expensive.
