what is digital art? i wanna see if anyone of u out there have nice idea on what is digital art. so, opinions anyone? let's just not discuss abt wat it is, but also wat are there. to me, digital art is just like any other art. it uses many tools to create it. computer softwares are the tools. like photoshop, maya, and etc. digital art are divided into few categories, digital painting, digital photography & darkroom, and fractals. well that's not all, but i wan to hear from u guys! =)

Pretty much, Artistic expression using computers and software. There's lots of different categories it can be divided into, the categories under digital art for DA would cover most of them I assume though. Depends. Digital Art, obviously Art using computer based Software. But I think it's got to be at least slightly artistic etc. You can't called Sigs Digital Art, Graphics maybe...But there's a big difference between Graphics and Art.
Digital Art is the definition of ones self or personality through a graphics-based media application. i made that up mehself
"Art" has different meanings for different people. Something that I might consider to be art might not look like anything to the next guy. The point is that you're using your mind to invent, imagine, and create. Digital art for me serves a purpose; I think it's stress-relieving and a good way to exercise creativity. Some people consider it a profession and make lots of money off of it. It's different for everybody. At least, that's what I think.
Nice, i like your first line. i agree with that. "Artistic expression" yea man yea, art has diff meanings for diff ppl. like some1 might think a particular art is trash but some might think it's a master piece good point there, exercise creativity =)
