Well I have just realised a bit about energy drinks and find them very different. I know that they've been around for a bit but is it okay to drink an energy drink or would you rather drink coffee?

Energy drinks have a high amount of cafeine in them, the equivalent of atleast 10 coffee cups. This can initially be bad for your body and a high about of rush going in your body and can cause problems such as hearth attacks. I'm not really hyped up about energy drinks, nor do I think it's a good idea to drink them to get some more straight.

Coffee is not that much better but is the best way to go to get some rush going in your body. It's safer and is the equivalent of 1 cup so it works and doesn't over do it.

If I had to pick, Coffee would be the best choice. Maybe some people need energy drinks, maybe it's recommended for them, but I feel coffee can be safer. Drinking energy drinks can also get addicting, this can meen you over due it and get the consequences that await you. I have never had a energy drink before so I have no real experience with it but maybe some people around here do.

Your thoughts and please keep it spam and flame free. I want some good opinions on this matter.

I like energy drinks. Personally I prefer Rockstar Pomgrenade (pardon the spelling). It has a great taste and good kick.
However, the thing I like the most is NO.
Nitric Oxide. I use it for working out (its intended use). It dilates your veins to provide more blood flow to your muscle, delivering higher levels of blood, oxygen, and muscle stimulating nutrients). It's completely healthy for you. Nitric Oxide is found in your body and that's its use.
Nitric Oxide signals your inner muscle linings of your blood vessels to relax. In turn it dilates the vessel and allows a higher level of blood to pass. Therefore, you get a huge pump. It's awesome for lifting weights.
Sometimes however I take it when going to work or playing a sport with buddies.
You can get it at any GNC or vitamin store.

That's my personal favorite. I got a real big pump from it.
It's a great substitute for coffee or energy drinks but is not meant to be taken in high amounts. Like I said it's naturally found in your body but in regulated amounts.
I take it with protein shakes before and after workouts so I can deliver muscle building nutrients to my muscles while I'm working out and after I'm done working out.
I gave a couple pills to my buddies before his weight lifting competition and he put up 20 more pounds in the clean and jerk than his previous record.

id take coffee over an energy drink, most of the time. coffee gives a nice steady push, rather than the kick n drop of an energy drink. but, when im in a pinch, i certianly wont turn down a bawls or jolt.

It depends how often you drink energy drinks. If you drink some once in a while its ok. But if you do it like I used to do, every single day, theres a problem. I used to chug down 3 servings of full throttle every day. Then I started getting heart burn and stopped. Some good ones are Full Throttle, Monster, Amp, Jolt, Sobe... etc.
I prefer Energy Drinks over coffee, when it comes to coffee I'm really picky to.
As long as I don't chug down those drinks I'm fine with them :]
The only time I ever drink coffee is in the morning when it goes with some good breakfast.

I'd say energy drinks sure do effect on your stress! And help you gain strength again (mentally). I prefer to drink Red Bull, it gives you wings :D

Prefer the taste and kick of an energy drink for sure. I'm not a fan of the bitter taste of coffee.

my personal preference is energry drinks as well.
i like to grab a sobe, full throttle, or rockstar when we (me and my friends) go work out or start a skate session. i feel its more effective and better tasting than coffee, plus coffee is just boring anyway.

cold drinks > hot drinks, especially when you need energy. warm drnks usually put me to sleep, lol.
