Okay recently i made a tag that when viewed on my home screen didn't look half bad but apon viewing it on my gf's screen ( flat ) it looked heeps different. Now the question im raising is how can we rate work good/bad if the technology we use to view it hinders eaches perception? it too me is like a colour blind man in an art gallery saying " the colours are dull " ' Discussion only.
That's an interesting point. I doubt it would make so much of a difference but it could certainly also make the image look better.
I've had the problem before too. I have a 22 wide screen monitor in my room and a 19 inch flat panel lcd. But when I'm at my girlfriends I see a noticable difference as well. They have some 17 in monitor, nothing special. So your not the only one, I noticed these things as well. Mainly it's the size though, you can't help that.
Its brightness, contrast, size scaling, etc. What looks good in one place may look horrid in another place, doens't matter, who really makes art to make other people happy? Do it for yourself.
Interesting point, but if it looks good on your comp, just print it out. and then you can show to others.
I agree. I made a couple of sigs that were average darkness on my main computer. I then go on my second computer and saw that it was too dark and most of the sig was darked out. I meen it looked great on my screen but on my other monitor it looked like 70% was just black. It does depend on the brightness and the quality the monitor has I guess and note to self not to make average darkness on my main monitor sigs.
i think your montiors are just screwed up i recently changed mine 3 times and it all still looks the same and yes i had a 21inch viewable and then a 15inch now a 19 so check ya color settings
why are you people checking gr at your girlfriends house??? arnt you there to see her not her computer??? but anyway everywhere i go it all looks the same so idk mabye its just the older the computer the worse the color...
