cheap my ass, after the contract it costs a minimum of $2000

    for $600 you can get

all the components used to make an iphone...
    over three times.

and if you're reason for getting something is to brag, then you're getting it for the wrong reason, are insecure and are socially lacking.

If someone asks to use my phone, they immediately comment on how cheap it looks because it's large. On another note, it has the best sound quality of any cell I've ever used, the longest battery life, it does everything I need, and it resists being dropped very very well. And amazingly people don't call me a looser for having a 3 year old phone. Crazy huh? Back in the day my Cell cost around $300. Today it's considered crap. By the time you finish your contract with AT&T/Apple, guess what... THE IPHONE WILL BE OBSOLETE.

if you want to give AT&T and apple $1,000 a year for two years, be my guest. I'm sticking to the money in the bank strategy, because you can get a lot more ass with $2000 in the bank than you can with an obligation to apple and AT&T and a phone made from cheap Chinese parts(err wait, that's EVERY phone).

FYI this is where i get the 2k from

    $1440 ($60/month MINIMUM *24months minimum contract)
    +$600 for the actual unit.
    $2040

The only thing thats stopping me from getting the iphone, is AT T because 60 bucks for 450 min is bull----. i pay 39 right now for 1000 min.. but hopefully it can be unlocked later. I can probobly get it for 500or a little less so i dont care how much it costs. Plus like i said, i lost my ipod, and my camara is pretty bulky. So to have all that on one device, pretty damn cool. The last thing is the iphone doesnt have a full qwerty keyboard, but thats where the touch screen comes in, even tho i would prefer it to have a sliding keyboard

    which means a few things

1 sound quality will be crap.
2 apple's probably trying to hide the fact that they skimped on the audio processor.

Well, I would buy it if I had the money. It looks pretty awesome. It was on ITV news two days ago.

buying the first version of something is stupid. just like the ipod. the first ipod was like 10 gigs and it was 300 bucks. now you get a 30 gig video for the same price. buying the first generation is a waste. wait a year and the price will go down and the memory and quality will go up.

I wonder how many people wouldve even heard of this phone if the ipod hadnt become so popular.

the iphone's hype is gonna go down. Its just too expensive to keep up. Jobs said that the software and stuff is upgradable so you'll "keep if forever" but im guessing the upgrade will cost a buttload of money too.

Yeah, it is soooo expensive though. I agree with SM RxBandits - wait a while before investing.
