Everyone wants "real life" friends, but at the same time, for me at least, online friends are better. You don't judge on what someone looks like or talks like or anything like that, you become friends solely based on ideas when you might not normally give a ---- about them in "real life". It's a way of keeping prejudice out of the picture.

Online friends suck ass. And I really have no idea what you qualify as a "friend" I have tons of friends irl, and I would never even DREAM that any of them would ever backstab me, nor do I think I should be better than any of them. If what you said in the first post is what you call a real life friend then I pity you. And for me I only qualify friends as true friends, so without "true friends" I have no friends o_O All my friends are true friends.

Anyway online friends are pathetic. Get off and get a friggin social life.

I'm going to say half and half. Online friends are harder to tell stuff to. It's always good to have an actual physical presence with you while playing games, or just chatting.

    I don't get people who don't want/don't care about having a life. I mean I couldn't live without a social life o_O

Online friends can never substitute for real life friends. There are just too many things with real life friends that you don't get with online ones, like personal experiences and stuff. I mean, real life experiences, not ones online obviously, you can have those but they don't matter too much. Same for relationships. Everybody who seems content in an online relationship, it's really not the same thing as one in real life.

OH Well I also believe that some real friends are jack asses, however who says online ones are not? You can't compare them I have best friends online and I have made brothers.. Their is a lot to say about it like you don't get shot when you say "Sup ni66a".. And so on.. So like my vote would be for both because you can't chill or have a sheesha with friends online unfortunately.

real friends, how the hell do you know that your online friend isnt a backstabber and full of bull----, its certainly a million times easier to lie online than RL, I also find threats are useless on the internet :( haha

    I perfer real.

You know, some of the points you made are true but, can you do anything with your online friend if he lives halfway around the world? Could you expect much when he/she could be talking about you, and you wouldnt even know.
Its all about how different people think about it.

Both Are Fun To Have But Real Friends Are Better Why? Because The Can Be There For You Unlike Online Friends They Can Log Off Forever And You Will Never See Them Again =|
