iPod 30g

Hi guys!

I just bought an iPod 30g, took it out of its box, pressed play, and every other buttons, and nothing is working. The screen stay black. I tryed different buttons combos to restart it or whatever, but, nothing.

Can anyone help me please?

Did you charge it? I'm pretty sure the iPod's need to be charged before they can be used when they're brand new. If that's not it.. I have no idea.. You said all the troubleshooting things didn't work from the website?? If so, I have no idea.

Make sure the battery is not dead.. charge it ..... thts about it .. if those dont work then its broke..

lol, the first thing you thought of was not to charge it?

 

Leave it full charging and when it say is done, you could check it out.

If not report it to the shop xD!

 

It should be charged when you bought it already.. Just saying, within the past my two ipods I eventually remember where fully charged.

Well, this freakin' iPod doesn't work. I waited for 8 hours of charging, and...nothing.

try holding down the middle button and the MENU button and wait for the apple symbol to pop up. i had the same problem with my 30g.

u made sure the hold button isnt on??? :tongue:

 

I'm pretty sure your hold button was on, when you first purchase your Ipod, as long as it is brand new, it should be fully charged.
You should NOT have to charge it when you first purchase it, otherwise you have a problem.

 

sounds like the hold button is engaged
