Looks good. But I would go with this Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813141002 But if you want to save, might as well get a 650i instead of a 680i and also the ram and power supply, you could save on those.. but if you dont need to save, everything looks great also cant seem to find the difference between the ram you chose and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820146565 except for the leds and the price
NO WAY, don't get a Conroe. AMD Single core 3800+ All the way for you. Don't forget you are a AMD fanboy j/k Grab the E6420 instead of the E6600, grab for the money you save a high end HS/F. Thermalright 120 Ultra Xtreme + fan I can recommend. Don't get that psu, get this one instead: http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=PS-E5150GH Get a good P35 motherboard unless you want to go SLi, which is in my opinion useless. It doesn't give half more performance then a single card. Gigabyte P35-DS3R is a good one and cheap. And I would try to get the Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2 8500, but that's just me..
yeah, XFX and EVGA basicalyl stick to the references design. not encessarily a bad thing. as for PSU, yes it's 100$ but it's crap. you can get much better for the same cost. it's not about the max stated output, it's about the max sustainable output in REALITY EDIT: when are youa ctually buying? intel price cuts on the 22nd of july I beleive or was it june.. ? ehh tired. Just graduated from high school, sleep's been a bit ------ed up I was at a party until about 6 last night/this morning.
That powersupply is utter dog ---- I recommend a 620w Corsair it is a bit more expensive but considering the power supply is the only component that can take out the rest of the system spending a bit more on a quality one won't go to waste. The apevia power supplies are reknowned on enthusiast computing boards to be utter crap and so far I haven't seen any evidence to the contrary. Whereas corsair powersupplies have a reputation for being quality, using Seasonic as their OEM so quality is assured. Word of advice: Take newegg reviews with a grain of salt and you will be much better off. Anyways rest of build looks fine =)
if you're not trying to be cost efficient then you're going to be ripped off at one level or another. even if you just inherited 1mil, you should be shrewd. Merged Post: for the money, I'd have to recommend this HSF for $14 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835103026 not the best HSF ever but still very respectable and for $14...
know the feeling lol. im thinking bout buying somtime in aug. btw bout the psu like i said a while back i have no clue as to what to look for i was just looking at amps, could u pick me out one with plenty of amps and that will last? thx
This 620w corsair power supply that I recommended before is capable of running 2x8800GTX's in sli. What more do you need?
then repost sometime in august. All I can say. The electronics industry is very volatile in nature. what's good bang/$ today probably won't be so much in august. besides in august p38 will likely be the chipset of choice on the intel side. as for PSUs, you look for something which can deliver very steady output at good loads. my advice http://www.jonnyguru.com/reviews.php?catID=1 check out that site. jonnyguru is THE person to go to for PSU reviews, very thorough analysis. basically with PSUs quality>quantity, atleast to a point. my enermax liberty AWT400 is rated for 400W. it powers an OCed c2d, 481GB RAM, an 8800GTS, a DVD burner, a hardrive, and multiple fans. the average person would buy the crapiest 500-600W PSU and wonder why it doesn't work well.
