is there anyway to go back to xp from vista and keep my data besides burning it all to dvds because i have way too much stuff to backup.

or should i just make a new partition and install xp on it and start moving data to that partition and then delete the vista partition?

    thanks.

Only possibility to do it without problems is to buy an external hard disk, put all your files on it, launch xp, and put everything back.

Same thing as you said, except I don't use DVD's wich wear out my laser.

    usually i have 4+ partitions

    partition 3 programs/games(some atleast)
    partition 4 files

my advice is this, partition for the hell of it.
