Lmao, can anyone recommend a good graphics card that's under $150? I have a crappy Geforce 7300 LE right now; can't run ANY games except some old ones. D: I'm thinking of getting a Geforce 7600 GS but I don't know how big the difference is >_< looking to run games like rainbow six vegas, and er.... double agent.
i dont think 7600gs or even gt will run rainbow 6 vegas with the rebate its less http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814150202 or if not try this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102061 looks good for the best bang for buck
i'll try the first one, better reviews? hahaha. anyways, i OC'd my 7300 LE. seems a little better now, but i can only run vegas at 800x600 without anything except blurs and eye adaption lol. didn't check the fps yet, but it's a big difference
x1950pro 7900GS Merged Post: it's because you're running vista. Vista has poor drivers from nVidia, up to a 50% performance hit.
which is better for many things... I swear why is everyone so obsessed with having the "latest and greatest" even fi ti's not the greatest? I'd be using windows 98SE if it still ha support.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814150229 I'm planning to get that one. Is it any good? >_>
it's an OK card. it's a fair deal faster than the 7300 some more powerful cards though http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130056 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102061 basically with the 8600GT being ranked as 100%(after OC) 7900GS 120% x1950pro 130% only case where the 8600 is better is where you need a card with a low thermal footprint. any other features the 8600might have which you could benefit from you'de already know about(stuff pertaining to video encoding)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814143080 There is mine lol.. I have never really payed attention to lower end cards
Then why are you posting? Hes asking for a good card for under $150, and you come in posting a $560 card just to say, this is what I use /flex e-peen. The worst part is you paid for a card thats more powerful than you need for anything public on the market today, and by the time DX10 games and such start coming out, the 8800GTX will be worthless, as is the memory units in the card, unless you have something like a 1600x1200 resolution or dual monitor setups. So... hows that QX6800, 8GB memory, 3TB HD setup working for ya? Its all top of the line, you know. To the op: Xelink would be the one to approve or disapprove of any items dealing with hardware on computers. Whenever I have an issue, I always try to get his approval over whats going on, or what I should do, and hes rarely let me down.
