Ok, here's something new you can try, this should completely redo Windows Media Player.

Go to Control Panel, and Add & Remove Windows Components under Add & Remove Programs. Remove Windows Media Player only, then to put it back on, you'll need to insert your Windows Installation Disc, and it should reinstall all the components.

If that doesnt work, then im stumped ><

That just reinstalls the select components you choose, it just makes you put the disc in to read a couple files to reinstall the select components.

It wont mess up anything, or make you lose anything. To answer your question, the username will stay the same ;)

by the looks of it there is a problem with your codecs, or maybe the files you are trying to play are faulty in some way, check the formats and see that you have the right codecs, also see that your media player is set up to play those file types:)

Use Firefox Or IE 6 Only ( Works only with this ) Make Sure You have the Latest Version of Windows Media Player. After that open windows media player and click tools ->Options. Click the File Types Tab You Will See the 3rd Iteam on the list is Windoews Media FIle (wmv). It needs to be checked with a white box behind it.If Its Checked with a grey box behind it click on it , it should turn white. Click Apply then OK and exit WMP It Should Work Now
