Trying to find a good guide that'll make my PC look just like Mac OS. I'm not just talking about using stylexp or any other crap. I'm talking, full blown object bars and all. If it's possible to run a newer version of OS X on it, I would like to be able to do that as well.

    all I can say

no really downloading a pirated version of OSX is illegal and I"m not allowed to refer you to that project on this forum.

One thing though, why would you want OSX? It's one of the most poorly written OSes i know of. Only crappier OS I can think of off the top of my head would be Windows 1.0 and ME, though all other versions of windows aren't that great either.

it's all about solaris, BSD, and most linux distributions... the OS underground where hacking support and VMware are half the fun...

    damn I'm a nerd...

the funny part is more stuff works under linux and BSD than under OSX and it's usually automatically detected and installed...

Don't diss OSX. It is a better OS compared to Windows in GUI and security. And to install OSX you don't need to download one, you can just buy it. If you don't understand it don't say it.

Your one of those people who believes those mac commercials, aren't you? Mac users get the same %, if not higher, than windows users, the only reason why macs can claim they get less viruses is because they aren't comparing percentages, they are comparing how many of their computer are out vs windows computer (about 1 third) and comparing the amount of viruses that come out for each OS (about 1/3 for mac OS). In reality, macs are no more or no less secure than windows, they simply are less targetted because they don't supply as many computers as windows does, making it a better target.

If you want mac, get a mac. I doubt you can run it with PC hardware. I know Mac supports intel now, but im not sure about your video or sound card.

And if you get a mac, why not get bootcamp or parallels? Bootcamp allows double booting, and parallels allows you to run windows on top of OSX.

But really, I would just stick with windows. You gain nothing when you move to mac, and lose all your gaming support

I love one mac osx commercial. It goats to The PC saying it can run WinXP aswell...

Why would MacOSX users want WinXP if MacOSX is oh so much better in everyway?

    I can build a PC

    and install

    windows
    OSX(albeit illegally)
a few hundred versions of linux
    Solaris
    dozen varieties of BSD

not too worried about apples claims of being able to run more OSes

Appl said there systems can run two OSes. PCs can run THOUSANDS.
