I installed the Core 2 Duo stock witch took me a hell of a time. After I got it on the fan didn't work in he spot for it on the mobo but it worked where you were supposed to put a system fan, thats really no big deal for me but then I checked how hot the cpu is and it says 60° F. I really don't think thats really possible for a stock heat sink.

    What do you guys think?

    lol.

You sure it said 60F and not 60C? 60c with a stock Heatsink is pretty much ok... but 60f...

Yah, 60F and you could smell it cooking. You must mean 60C.

No I mean 60F I doubt it would be cooking because my heatsink is working in the system fan slot. It says I have a year to return it so when I get done from my trip I guess ill send the damn thing back.

What the hell are you other guys talking about? A higher Fahrenheit reading is a lower Celsius reading.

According to him, he does. Isn't that the weird thing to be thinking about?

ive seen people hit 30c hell even 25c idle tops, but 15? probably a malfunction since hes using the wrong plug. Because NO WAY in hell can a a core 2 duo with a stock fan go to 15c unless hes like in alaska, which is still pretty hard to believe

Ok I have been on a computer forum and theres are hitting around 24 with the fan off. The fan turns on when the processor gets too hot.

Echomander: I didn't really think that processors could really get that cool, but apparently they do...
