but theres no denying that price is playing a large factor. plus hype. months before november '06, TIME magazine called Wii Sports the best game they had ever played.
The wii is a gimmick..honestly Wii Sports was fun for about 2-3 weeks but after that you get bored of it. We need some games! I'm not saying wii won't have any good games at all! As for myself im just waiting for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Battalion Wars 2, Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption For now the Wii sucks cause it has no good games which last long. It has 2 good games which have no replay value
Totally agree. Right now the Wii is a gimmick for parties and multiplayer only. Games like Wii Sports and Excite Truck are still good but single player dies. Right now I think, for quality games, 360 has the lead.
if i had a ps3 id be playing it atleast a couple of times a week and i know that for sure since ive played resistance online and motorstorm online at my friends house for quite a few times now...if wii had a better online service or atleast some decent online games then id be playing it way more..
My family got a wii for Christmas, mainly for my younger brother, it was enjoyable at first but now I'm bored of it, I'm not really into the motion controller, I prefer the good old butting mashing controllers. We'll see how I feel once online play comes, in June I believe. Now I will be getting another console, a 360 or PS3. I was actually slanting more towards the ps3 just because I have a 0s2 and the backwards compatibility until Sony skimped on us Pal gamers, we get a stupid emulation chop that barely runs games. That has been the deciding point, I'm not going to be getting a ps3 if I can't play my old games, may as well get a 360, better price can buy an add on that WILL work with all xbox games. Sony even said they aren't going to be working on game emulation, there working on getting out ps3 games atm, which is understandable I suppose, but still no excuses. Sony you're losing sales by their lazyness. What do other people think about not properly making the ps3 backward compatible for Pal gamers.
Ditto what you're talking about because for PAL regions with the newest firmware update(1.80) there are 80% compatible games(and the 20% are games that have probably never been released out of Japan) + PS3 can now upscale PS2/PS1 games up to 1080p.Oh and considering PAL regions have a software emulation it can just keep getting better and better.
My sister bought a Wii, played it for a week, fun as hell, but after that, it gets so boring. She sold it. I got a 360, very happy with it. Good price, great collection of games, and the line-up that is going to come in a couple months is sick. Plus great online. The only console I haven't put my sights on is the PS3. I'm gonna lay low for 2 years, waiting till some price drop, cause it's so expensive, plus there aren't many games, good games, it's being said that the 360 is the console of the future. But for now, 360 is the champ.
I prefer 360. PS3 doesn't have good online capabilities. 360 with Live makes it way more fun to have. The Wii... I don't know.

My mate has got a 360, and its burning a hole in his wallet. I mean, a wireless adaptor for £60 :| then £40 for 12 months live subscription... what the hell.
I've been playing on my friends console(ps3) for a while now. The only ---- about the PS3 is that theres not enough games for now. That's it. Online system is not as organized as the 360, but at least its free. Graphics are like 360s games NOW. So imagine how they will be after 1 year. Blue-ray compatible is pretty nice, I've watched a movie on a 1080p tv and the ps3...that was great! The Wii is pretty fun, but after a while, getting boring. So, well...in my opinion, the PS3 will be the champion.
