Okay, so I find a sprite of say, Pit from Kid Icarus. I want it to be bigger, but when I change the image size, it automatically blurs it at the edges. Does anyone know how to increase its size without that effect?

Its going to get pixelated if you try and size it up.

I am not sure how others do it....but I always duplicate it whenever I resize it and if it comes out blurry...on the top layer of the sprite I sharpen it and then mess around with blending options or opacity until I like how the sprite looks.

You could try putting it into a vector program like Illustrator, resizing it then moving it back into photoshop.

If that doesn't work, then resize it and just go over the colours with the pencil tool.
