I guess Andrew didnt feel he needed to answer my question and left the forum without sending a response. This makes my fourth pack auction with these avatars. I even have a shop in which I sell these..and have yet to have a complaint on it...in almost a year of doing these @ GR. I paid for a Premium membership and didnt exspect to be treated like some ------ just because Andrew wants to flex his Moderator muscle or w/e. I am also a staff member @ BD and Planet Renders, and an Admin @ FAS. Myself or any other fellow staffer/admin included would not treat any member like this, premium, donator or watever..this isnt the way you treat any member. Period. A Answer would be appreciated. Hello, I guess you're not familar with the ability to LOOK UP what time a last member logged in. I'm not required nor paid to be on this forum 24/7, and do not know of any service that provides answers instantly. Yes, believe it or not, waiting is required. You can find the forum rules here. From the point of view of myself: You didn't create the games, nor the cut screen(s) used in the animated GIFs. Selling these for full rights would be damn near pointless other then the fact you need some credits, because it's impossible to tell if you made them and extremely easy for me to edit them and claimed I did. It's something I didn't feel like dealing with later on, and therefor auction closed. I could careless if your staff on some other graphic sites, this is GAMERENDERS. We've been number one for awhile, and a lot of the other sites tend to just copy what GameRenders has done. If you feel wronged, go speak to an Adminstrator. Well, I could care less for your attitude, and as far as the rules go, I have had Red Alert and other view my thread in the shop section as well as the auction forum..as I have already stated. I have never been a problem at this forum and dont appreciate your punk ass attitude towards me. I have never seen you on these forums in the past year, this being my first meeting with you Andrew, I can safly say I am glad I havent met you up until now, for the simple fact that your rude as hell, and have a hell of a chip on your sholder. And how you became a moderator, is beyond me.. Far as Im concerned, taking the time to download, edit and cut these avatars and then in turn personalizing them with text and borders and so on, has NEVER been a problem here @ GR before now. You seem to be the only staff member that has a problem with them... Myself, Gac, Witde..and even Red Alert have sold these ...for GR Credits, and up until now, Not One Word was said., until you came along. So yeah, its obvious you dont care who I am, and dont seem to feel that you have to give respect and common courtusy to anyone, well, right back at ya. I have bought premium memberships for numerous GR members, and have never caused problems here at all. Thats kewl. If you want it that way, I'll get whats owed me, and move on. I was asked to speak on Logical's behalf, so: You do not legally own any part of the work, we're merely trying to ensure that the owner of anything you buy will be able to say "Hey, that's mine and you stole it." Customizing the GIFs is a different matter altogether, but that isn't what you were selling: so it was closed. It doesn't matter how often you've been in trouble at GameRenders, because the thread would have been closed regardless of whom tried to do it. If you have not heard of Andrew, i guess you don't read the Latest News at GameRenders; in which case, we'd probably not want you around here anyways. He's been moderating the forums here for two years plus. We also do not appreciate how rude you, yourself are. You have paid $5, as thousands of others have, and each are treated the way they deserve to be treated. We do not take favorites here, and we are not bribed. You paid for resources to the site, and you have them, you did not pay to be on the staff's good side. If you would stop being so rude, I am sure all staff would be more than happy to assist you further, and not return the favor. Staff are made staff, because the administrators of this site trust those individuals decisions. The admins therefore back most moderators decisions whole heartedly.
As I stated before, I have never been approached and numerous Moderators and Administrators have seen my shop threads and auctions. I am not selling these for cash or any form of legal currency, just GR Credits. You guys alow the sell of Signatures and the members do not own the rights to the stocks and renders used either...are you gonna stop them as well, from "selling their wares" ???? Simply put, if I wasnt treated rudley from the start, I wouldnt have been rude in return. Turning this back upon me and claming this my fault, is a really shallow way to judge any member. As you stated though.. ..since Logicly asked you, a moderator to "speak for him" and since you are only a Moderator yourself..I guess my retort to Logicly would be "since you listen to your moderators and only your moderators, wrong or right, well, as I have already stated, my plea for a just reason to this so called "Rule" will never be given and I guess you or any Administrator or Moderator will state the same response as you and Andrew have supplied here." Furthermore.. Given the fact that Andrew has been nothing but rude and condesending from the get go, I assume that you just happen to over look that one small piece of truth.. Sigs are heavily modified, as mentioned above, if you heavily modify the item, then thats entirely different. Just clipping it down to avatar size, isnt really your work now is it? Thats like taking an LP of someone elses work and just clipping it down to signature size. Thats the difference. And in this case, I didn't see anything rude until this thread was started. Thats really all I have to say on this. I had Dem respond for me, since I was tending to my kittens and felt that he would do an adaqute job of doing so, which he did.
As Andrew has stated numerous times, and you yourself have just seemed to miss when reading, your avatars are not editted, or editted very little. There is very little of your own personal design that was added to the base game clips, therefore making it so that your stealing the clip, making it smaller, and selling it for personal gain, that is the definition of warez. Now, if you had done some work to them, as people do in signatures, large art, renders, etc. then we can talk, as you are not necessarily selling the stock or render, you are selling the time invested and techniques invested in making the sig, cutting the render, etc. You have come in here, being rude not only to Andrew, but stating the staff makes poor decisions via having him be a moderator. Logicaly is a female btw, and it doesn't matter which staff member speaks to you, they should all be held with the highest respect, even if they talk down to you. Especially when asked BY the administrator to personally reply here in her place. I also stated *most* decisions, not all. Sometimes we get things wrong, we are human. In this event, the staff as a whole agree with Andrew, in that redistributing something that all you had to do is resize, and convert is not fair to those heavily modifying the clips they sell.
Im sorry, but, did you call all staff members in..within the last hour, to post and decide wether Andrews reasoning was correct or not...i find that hard to believe.. SO I Will post what I have already stated..again.. I feel that this is not fair but, you guys make the rules here..so be it. Regardless if I try to make some cash to help other buy a premium or Donator accont..for GR..well, s you say, its not your cup of tea and I am completely in the wrong here...
There is something called the Gamerenders IRC, which you would know of if you looked on the top navigation bar, or in the forum for the IRC discussion, or in the Latest News, or Off Topic, or General forums. Moderators in this IRC are traditionally very active, and it makes for a quick way of getting decisions presented on menile things such as this. Now, you have had your administrator respond stating the same thing as I and Andrew have stated, as requested. This is the final decision, and end of the line. I feel this problem has been adequately solved / explained. Closed.
