weird problem

    well im not sure whats wrong im guessing its either the motherboard or graphic card i have a hp pavillion a814x stock computer nothing done to it so all the parts are still original this is what has sarted happening lately it mostly happens on games but not all the time i took a pic of it.. Does anyone know whats wrong or what fried?

    I actually think it might be steam itself, because when I use to play Counter-Strike, I used to have the same problem. I quit though and didnt see it on any other games.

    im not sure cause it happened to me when i was working on photoshop as well and i tried reinstalling steam and stuff and i keep on getting that

    Photoshop and gaming are pretty graphic-intensive apps.

    Try downloading a program like Everest (google it) which will tell you the temperature your GPU's running at.

    Not sure 100% if that's the cause but that would be my first port of call.

    i dont think its the monitor i tried 3 different ones and same thing happened

    I could recreate that actual screenshot you posted. That would happen to me if I put all, or most of my video card options on high performance over quality. :P

    Could the GFX card have come loose? I usually make sure that *everything* (hardware) is plugged in properly if i have any errors such as that..

    i have a feeling its your gfx card overheating. I know when i tried overclocking my card it got too hot and something close to that happened
