The seller, in case you haven't noticed, the buyers aren't buying anymore. Goodbye sellers. Submit to the demand costs, or leave.

Your more or less telling the Economy to ------ off.

Eventually creds will be just as important as Rep, meaning they won't be.

Honestly, its not my fault i can make a tag that people love in 5 mins, and it takes others 3 hours to get something that will sell for 200. You pay what you want to learn the stuff, and you pay for what you like. People come to GR, they get free stuff, they post crap.. bleh. Ive done lessons with tons of people, each willing to PAY to get the knowledge in which was given to them.

GR runs off of money, as does any site. It runs on donations, on the economy. For you trying to get rid of lennox, former pale, and others, your basically making your economy crap. My crew made close to 10k in credits off the pack we sold, and why? because we have the most talented people in there. Are we credit whores? No, were good artists. People like what they see, and they paid for it.

If you can not shell out some money to keep the site alive, then i think THOSE are the people that should go. Ive paid for donator, i give out lessons and sell my psds at lower than normal prices, and i give out stuff from time to time, and even fund for people to host things. I think its bullshiz that you have the ignorance to tell me to leave.

if you want it that way, than i say every single decent artist should leave, and we can see how Gr handles it.

Oh well? I fail to see what the object of credits will have in the long run if everything is free?

Just because you give something for free doesn't mean everyone else should.

Those 20k creds you gave to GR Mafia will sooner or later be worth nothing. The 10k you used buying resources and giving them to the site, in a month or two people won't care to look at them. They'll be sitting there.

Your point is? In case you havne't noticed, your arguing at a mute point. The decision has been made. Atleast the other individual whom was posting grasped this concept and has stopped.

The only reason I am continuing is because I am trying to figure out a more constructive way to feed information to someone with the intellectual capacity of a wall, and incapable of understanding a true business system, much less a support or help system.

Dementia you piss me off so terribly much, you and Andrew are so ------y and ignorant.

You think your the ones doing good here, but YOU are the Seller and the buyer of these things dementia.

How'd you get the 30k creds? What did you do to get them?

Because I'm sure as hell positive you didn't pull them out of your ass.

I suppose reading isn't a skill you possess...

... he doesn't have 30,000 credits. He did earn credits in the past for selling some extremely nice templates that I gave out for free, though. Along with our monthly staff credits and selling a signature here and there - I imagine he made a nice amount.

    1) Staff paychecks account for about 8-10K of my total on=hand credits.
    2) I have sold things, already been stated, and I had buyers willing to pay the price, so my price didn't require adjusting.
    3) I have had donations from when I used to buy tuts and give them out for free

Believe me, we are not the ignorant ones here. While you were working at KFC, I was working on a college degree. While you do... whatever it is you do now, I work as an Industrial Engineer. I live on my own, I support myself, and my g/f.

If anything, its you, whom is the ignorant one. You are like Paris Hilton without all the money. You expect things to be given to you for not spending an inckling of time invested in them, or your own personal work. 10 minutes to make a sig for 2000 credits, or 10 minutes to help a few hundred people out? Personally I find the latter more satisfying.

If you don't, we both know how close you are to being banned anyways, and as I have said, the door is right over there:

Andrew your an idiot. I really don't see why they made you a Mod.

He got the 30k creds he gave out from selling your templates.

So he's the seller, so in the above statement he said we're trying to get rid of people just like him.

In light of this fun discussion, it's turned into a vicious little insult and has skewed way over topic. I'll try to summarize the majority of the staff's thoughts of why we did this, and what is really happening here:
    • The staff felt that selling tutorials was not beneficial to the GameRender's economy. There are many reasons behind this, which you can read here.
    • GameRenders is not in a recession. It's merely trying to adjust, and it's doing a fine job. Rapidshare and steam accounts have become the hot new ticket, and signatures are taking a step back for a moment. This has happened before, and it'll change again. There is nothing wrong with that.
    • A lot of members feel the staff is trying to eliminate buyers/and sellers. I'm not quite where this idea came from, but let me ensure you..we have always encouraged the Marketplace. The current restrictions in place come after months of problems. We tried to eliminate some of these issues with past rules, but eventually all else failed. A lot of suggestions have been put in this thread, and I ensure you: i've read them all. Just truthfully, none of them were better then the current setup. Which is worst: not being able to sell a tutorial, or not being able to sell your credits for money?
    • Tutorials can not be sold privately or publically anymore, but that's not to say you cannot pay someone to write them. The point of a tutorial is to teach you something new, which will allow you to expand on your own skills. If you are learning nothing from the current so-called '----- rated' signature artist, then maybe you need to stop relying on other people's work and come up with your own style. A lot of the more popular signature artist have something in common: they tend to have created some sort of trend.
    • If you cannot sell your signatures, lower the price. If you cannot sell them at any price, then maybe you need to put some more into it or improve. Taste in signatures change, but your knowledge of the program never will. Try something new, you may be surprised - I know we need more template designers selling good work for credits ;)
    • Some members need to realize that the outlawing of selling tutorials was not the only thing that was recently changed. We're trying extremely hard to fix the current issues of GameRenders, not restore to the 'old GR.' I'm quite confident that the download system is going to be extremely popular, and will change the dynamics and perspectives of the Marketplace altogether.
    • At the end of the day, you need to realize that the site isn't here to help you support a lifestyle. It's a graphics and gaming oriented community that also happens to allow you to make a few dollars on the side. Some of the best designers this website has ever seen were also some of the most generous. As i've stated before: learning SHOULD be free, but we also realize that this is a capitalistic system.
    and that's the bottom line,
    Andrew
