There is a way to encrypt a folder's contents in windows XP ---. Just go to folder the folder > right-click > properties > advanced. There you see the option: encrypt contents to secure data. (i wouldnt know how to this on vista, since I haven't installed Microsoft's latest virus (vista) on my pc yet. If you are using home edition there also is a way to do this, but only if your harddisk is formatted in ntfs. Also, the folder you are formatting must be within your own directory. (in your case that would be: C:\Documents and Settings\Greasy Pete\, or something like that) If your pc is XP home and formatted ntfs you can do this: go to the folder> right click > properties > sharing (tab) > Make this folder private. There also are several software programs to do such a thing. Here's a few examples: http://axcrypt.sourceforge.net/ http://www.winability.com/folderguard/ Good luck!
Judging by the posts you made in the 'i have dibs o nthe following women' thread *cough cough* PORN *cough cough* is highly likely. I need this aswell lol >.>
Any administrator can take ownership of the files. I don't know if they can see them without doing so, though.
Because they can be revealed by going to extra > folder options > 2nd tab > show hidden files and folders.
i accidentally made a password for the whole login to my computer and i cant get into the control panel or my computer freezes
Why not just import whatever you want to lock into a *.rar folder. Then password protect the rar and make sure the password's not easy to bruteforce.
