Whats the best way to clean a keyboard? xelink said dump it in the sink but mine is the G15 so it has a screen on it, what is another good way?
I just hit it against my desk gently to get the crumbs of food or whatever out. Then I take a wet cloth and wipe the keyboard with it
I know... There is a spray type thingy for cleaning small places I use it all the time at work... dont know what it is called ...wait... here use these tips http://www.helpwithpcs.com/maintenance/cleaning-keyboard.htm http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,112041-page,1/article.html probably the better one of the three http://www.ehow.com/how_2026_clean-computer-keyboard.html Zainu
I just throw mine in the dish washer every 6 months. But depending on how technical yours is you may have to buy a can of compressed air and spray between the keys and use a damp paper towel for the surface.
I use a hand-held bicycle pump with an extension nozzle to get in between the gaps, then use a slightly damp cloth for keys.
why put it in the dishwasher? aren't you afraid of damaging it because of how hot the water gets inside?
yeah, the monitor on it changes things a bit, usually keybaords are pretty simple they're either on or off and it's pretty hard to ------ them up, but I wouldn't be dumping a 80 buck keyboard with a monitor into water. just remove the keys one by one and clean them and under where they were then place them back in.
because u can, and because it has a screen.. thats like asking why buy a pc for 2000 bucks when you can get a cheap dell for 500 bucks
Probably compressed air is the safest. Or the stuff that's like technology cleansing compressed air for stuff like that.
Hold it firmly upside down and gently tap the bottem to get rid of crumbs n ----. If the keys are sticky just get a wet rag and rinse it out and gently swab the keys.
